Jeroen Jongeleen makes a fountain for the Maashaven in Rotterdam

In the Maashaven, on the occasion of the Paleis Maashaven project, a work of art by Jeroen Jongeleen will be unveiled in February 2022. SIR asked him to intervene in this area, on the border between the neighbourhoods Charlois and Feijenoord. Jongeleen found it a difficult question because of the area development and advancing gentrification. In these kinds of tendencies, art is often instrumentalized in a way that does not benefit the residents, on the contrary.
