Harm van den Dorpel’s generative animated artwork Mutant Garden (2019-ongoing) is included in the new publication by ZKM Karlsruhe, BioMedia.
Van den Dorpel’s artwork is also part of the collection from the institute for media art.

The book focuses on the artworks that are included in the exhibition Bio Media. The Age of Media with Life-like Behavior. The works are described in rich detail and present an overview of algorithms, artificial life and artificial intelligence in art. The book also features scientific essays by Peter Weibel, Samuel Bianchini, Emanuele Quinz and Ingeborg Reichle.
