Every two years, the Stedelijk Museum organizes an extensive group exhibition featuring work by artists or designers who live and/or work in the Netherlands, from which some of the works will be selected to be part of the permanent collection of the museum.The focus is always on a specific discipline or a contemporary theme. The theme for 2024 aligns with the museum’s new direction in the field of photography, concentrating on works that explicitly lie at the intersection of visual arts and photography.
