Tabor Robak and Kévin Bray in exhibition at The Hole Tribeca
Tabor Robak and Kévin Bray are both part of group exhibition LFG, at The Hole Tribeca, that opens 5 April!
LFG is a group show of video game aesthetics in art. Centered around Kévin Bray’s epic video-sculpture 4 Exs (Écho des Luttes et des Conquêtes) (2023) this show immerses you in the world of gaming through painting, sculpture, and installation.
The art world may be large, but the gaming world makes it look minuscule. Of all the creative experiences shaping us in 2025, video games probably rival music in reach—followed by social media, movies, and TV—while somewhere down with “poetry” sits “contemporary art.” So yes, doing an art show about gaming might seem silly because of scale: the diversity of games is so vast it’s barely containable, and trying to address their full aesthetic range through painting alone feels futile. Each frame of an open-world game like GTA could be its own painting—just as evocative, and far more influential.
