Shenzhen Hong Kong Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism featuring work by Rob Voerman.

At the end of this year, Rob Voerman will participate in the Shenzhen Hong Kong Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, which will open on the 4th of December 2015.

The main venue of the Biennale 'Collage City 3D: An Invitation to (Serious) Play', curated by Aaron Betsky, features a large site-specific installation by Rob Voerman that allows visitors to enter the work.

Rob Voerman will organize a side-programme in and around his work as part of the public program. The work will for a large part shine a light on the millions of migrant-workers from China's country-side working in Shenzhen. Workshops, performances and presentations will be organized to create public involvement. For this project, Rob Voerman will team up with China's wellknown poet Guo Jinniu, who himself worked as a factory- and building-site worker for almost twenty years. The work will also reflect on a different mentality in city-planning and city-development.

Other participants: Feng Feng, Lukas Feireiss, The Heidelberg Project, Hood Design Studio, Jimenez Lai, Langarita-Navarro, Dennis Maher, Studio Makkink/Bey, Snarkitecture, Superuse Studios and T opotek1.

The exhibition will run from December 4th 2015  until March 4th 2016.
