Jeroen Jongeleen in group exhibition 'Dutch Art with Text & Humor? NO THANKS!' in Utrecht
Work of Jeroen Jongeleen is included in the group exhibition Dutch Art with Text & Humor? NO THANKS!, curated by Bas Fonteijn at AG Ruimte voor Kunst en Media in Utrecht.
Dutch Art with Text & Humor? NO THANKS! is a group exhibition with work by eighteen Dutch visual artists in which text and humor play an important role. With the help of these elements the participating artists take a position with regard to various social issues and with regard to the art world in particular. Often use is made of existing texts and everyday statements that are taken from their original context and are turned into visual statements, for example in the form of protest signs, light boxes, posters, flags or sweaters, but also with pencil on paper and paint on canvas.
